Search the library
Section titled “Search the library”Sutraya is built around search. You can search the whole corpus or stay on the page you are reading.
Open search
Section titled “Open search”- Left nav → Search
- Home composer → type a query
- Keyboard / header: open the search modal (corpus or page scope when a witness is open)
Search the corpus
Section titled “Search the corpus”- Enter a word, phrase, title fragment, or identifier.
- Results show matching passages with snippets and links into the reader.
- Open a hit to jump to that passage, or use the work title to open the work landing page.
Search is diacritic-insensitive for Latin scripts — nirvana and nirvāṇa behave the same for matching.
Search on this page
Section titled “Search on this page”When you are in the reader, choose page scope in the search UI to restrict matches to the current witness. Useful for long discourses when you remember a phrase but not the section number.
- Prefer distinctive phrases over single common particles.
- Combine browse filters in the Library when you want a tradition or language first, then refine with search.
- For AI answers with citations, use Ask instead of keyword search alone.
