Use reader tools
Section titled “Use reader tools”While reading, select a word or span of text to open the selection popover.
Look up
Section titled “Look up”Opens dictionary / term lookup for the selection in the passage language when available. You can also use the global Dictionary.
Translate
Section titled “Translate”Sends the selected passage(s) into your AI translation draft workflow when Translate is configured. Multi-passage selections translate as a batch when the reader supports it.
Ask AI
Section titled “Ask AI”Opens Ask with the selection as context so you can ask about the passage and receive a grounded reply with citations.
Saves the selection as a quote (or favorites the text, depending on the action) into your personal library under Saved.
Add to sheet
Section titled “Add to sheet”Adds the quote to an existing sheet or creates a new sheet — useful for class notes, retreat packets, or comparative reading lists.
Resources drawer
Section titled “Resources drawer”Without selecting text, open the side resources panel for:
- Parallels — related layers or witnesses
- Translations — other translation layers
- About — work / witness metadata
- Cite — citation and URN helpers
- Dictionary — term tools
- Ask — chat entry
- Share — share the current place in the text
